Day 1:

Arrival and transfer to Fairview Hotel. O/N at Fairview. Fairview is a Country Hotel – just 2km from the City Centre and 18km from the airport. It was rated as the best Hotel in Nairobi by Trip Advisor in 2008.

Day 2

Early breakfast in time for an early start to the Nairobi National park – the closest park to a city. They may see the big five family, other mammals and several bird species. They will also visit the elephant orphanage – Daphne Sheldrick. Break for lunch, then proceed to Machakos – approx.70km from the city for a visit to a unique spot where the law of gravity is defied. They will witness some experiments like a vehicle in free gear moving upward on a hill instead of downhill as would in a normal situation. Dinner and O/N at Fairview Hotel.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, start off to full day of white water rafting at Sagana – approx.85km from Nairobi. Return in the evening for O/N at Fairview.

Day 4:

Depart Nairobi at 8.00am to the western region. Visit to Kericho Tea Estates and plantations – approx 275km from Nairobi. They will be taken through the process of tea growing, picking, processing and  packing to an end product. Pictures in tea plantations. O/N at Tea Hotel in Kericho.

Day 5:

After breakfast, depart for Ruma National Park – approx 185km from Kericho. Morning game drives. The special attraction of this park is the rare Roan Antelope. Then proceed to Mbita point for lunch, then cross over to Rusinga Island by motor boat. Rusinga Island is in L.Victoria, the second largest fresh water lake in the world. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and O/N at Rusinga Island Resort.

Day 6

Full day at Rusinga Island, O/N at Rusinga Island resort.

Day 7:

After breakfast, transfer to Tabaka Soapstone in Kisii. Here they will see the locals at work on their soapstone handicrafts. They will witness the mining and carvings of this rare stone – soapstone. One can even have his/her face carved as they wait….

Proceed to another site nearby where sugar cane is manually processed – see the end product as the community leader explains it’s use. This product is a key income earner to the local community. Dinner and overnight will be at a homestay in Kisii.

Day 8:

Full day with a community elder, learning about the Kisii culture and practices. Dinner and O/N at homestay.

Day 9

After breakfast, bid the community goodbye, proceed to Massai Mara National Reserve – Approx. 125km from Kisii. Lunch at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Afternoon gamedrives, dinner and O/N at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 10

Full day game viewing. O/N at Mara Serena Lodge

Day 11

Early morning game drives, after breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Wilson Airport to connect to a scheduled flight to the coastal town of Lamu. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and O/N at Manda Bay Hotel.

Day 12 & 13

Full day at Lamu with various water sports activities. O/N at Manda Bay Hotel.

Day 14:

After lunch, take a scheduled flight to Nairobi, dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, O/N at Fairview Hotel.

Day 15

Transfer to the airport for return flight.
End of service.
